This is CHIMERATM's "First-String Team". The CHIMERATM Super PRO Bank outshines them all with outstanding features which include: a removable, recessed front screen that helps control lens flare and fall-off, a large, hook & loop-sealed rear opening that will accommodate up to three strobe heads, and full compatibility with every accessory in the CHIMERATM family (Honeycomb Grids, fabric grids, louvers, and Barn Doors).

Removal of the screen enables access to the Lightbank's interior and the choice of three densities of diffusion screen: the standard CHIMERATM Cloth front screen (which is supplied) and two (optional accessory) lighter grid cloth screens. Color correction screens with gels laminated to CHIMERATM screen fabric also can be used. This wide selection of front screens allows fine-tuning of light quality, transmission, and color.

There are five sizes of CHIMERATM Super PRO Bank in rectangular 3:4 front screen proportions. Choose between silver interior walls (slightly more specular) or white (a little softer). CHIMERATM's Super PRO system offers natural, window-like lighting that's controllable and perfect for your subjects.

Also available are the CHIMERATM Strip Banks for unique lighting control with their narrow profile.

Quick Release Speed Ring Conversions

In 1980, CHIMERATM changed the world of photographic and film lighting with the introduction of the first truly viable commercial Lightbanks. 25 years later CHIMERATM is very proud to introduce their revolutionary, patented, Quick ReleaseTM Speed Ring. Set up and take down of Lightbanks and softboxes becomes as easy as flipping a lever. The Quick Release™ Speed Ring also makes it very easy to move Lightbanks around sets and through doors and tight spots without disassembling the Lightbank. Plus, the cost of the Quick ReleaseTM Speed Ring is only a fraction more then most regular "fixed" Speed Rings but the value in time savings and ease of use will return your investment in no time.

The CHIMERATM Quick ReleaseTM Speed Ring will be featured in a wide variety of sizes accommodating most lighting instruments and will work well with most customers’ existing Lightbanks. We are offer the popular 6 inch and 7.3 inch series. Other larger sizes will follow in the coming months. The Quick Release™ Speed Rings may be ordered in conjunction with many models of CHIMERATM Lightbanks. The rings are also available by themselves for customers wanting to retrofit a Quick Release™ Speed Ring with their existing CHIMERATM light adapter insert. In addition, many customers that own softboxes made by other manufacturers will also want the ease of use of the Quick ReleaseTM Speed Ring as well. While CHIMERATM will not be testing the ring for fit on these softboxes, the ring may accommodate a wide variety of these products as well.
